Rev. Melissa Harkness (she/her) is a pastor’s kid growing up in the Oregon/Idaho Conference. She has lived in Oregon and Idaho. Having been ordained for 20 years, she has served in rural and urban churches across Oregon. Melissa has both an MDIV and a MAT, having taught in the public schools for a time. Rev. Melissa Harkness (she/her) is a pastor’s kid growing up in the Oregon/Idaho Conference. She has lived in Oregon and Idaho. Having been ordained for 20 years, she has served in rural and urban churches across Oregon. Melissa has both an MDIV and a MAT, having taught in the public schools for a time. Melissa is an advocate for marginalized communities, especially having worked with churches and non-profits around LGBTQIA+ education. She shares her home and hobbies, with her 17-year-old, Andy, and two lively cats, Hiccup and Lark. They enjoy camping, archery, fiber arts, birding, swimming, and exploring new places. Although the cats are mostly into yarn and birds.
